Jackson 5 tour information
The last couple of years in the music world will be remembered for all the great reunions, from The Police to Led Zeppelin to Van Halen. And now it looks like we can add the Jackson 5 to that impressive list. That’s right, if the reports are true then Jackie, Tito, Jermaine, Marlon and even Michael are planning to reunite for a Jackson 5 world tour. That would mark the first time that the Jacksons were back together on stage since the wildly successful Victory Tour in 1984, which resulted in totals sales of more than two million concert tickets. It’s a good bet that Jackson 5 reunion tour ticket sales could even surpass that figure.
With all the success of Michael Jackson and his sister Janet Jackson, sometimes it’s forgotten how big an impact the Jackson 5 had on music in the late 1960s and 1970s. The group was literally everywhere, from lunchboxes to iron-on patches with the J5 logo to Saturday morning cartoons. They sold millions of records, and of course millions and millions of Jackson 5 concert tickets. With hits like “ABC,” “I Want You Back” and “I’ll Be There,” the group has sold more than 100 million albums despite not being active for most of the past 15 years. But that could all change very soon, and their fans are ready to snap up Jackson Five concert tickets for the reunion tour.
Most of the rumors about a Jackson 5 reunion have come from Jermaine Jackson, who promised a tour “sometime in 2008” as well as a new album. Jermaine went on to tell the BBC that, “We feel we have to do it one more time. We owe that to the fans and to the public.” Rumors are also swirling that a Jackson 5 New Year’s Eve concert in Atlanta will be the first show. Of course part of the reason for all the excitement is the chance for fans to see the often reclusive Michael Jackson take the stage again, and doing it as part of a Jackson 5 tour would seem to be the perfect way for Michael to kick-start his career again. Until then, the countdown has begun as fans wait for the announcement of Jackson 5 concert tour dates, and the mad rush to buy Jackson 5 tour tickets.
